I love the temple! One of my New Years resolutions is to go to the temple once a week. And so far I have done it except for the first week when the temple was closed for cleaning. It just feels good to go there. It feels good to be doing something for someone else who can't do it for themselves. It feels good to think about Heavenly Father with no interruptions To receive inspiration for things. To learn more about things, sometimes just a bit here and there. It feels good to set an example for my kids. I hope they know I love going there. I hope they will see me going and one day want to do the same.
My very favorite temple is the Salt Lake Temple. Lorin and I were sealed there June 21, 1986. It was a crazy, beautiful day! Darci was also sealed to us that day. Its one I will never forget. She was 6 mo. old. She was talking and chattering like any baby would. But when they placed her hand in Lorins. she got quiet and looked up. I know she knew what was going on that day. I know she did. We became an eternal family. FOREVER!!! And we all knew it.
And there is nothing sweeter than attending the temple with your own kids. Jamen and Rose were the last ones to get married so far. And to look around the room and see Darci, Brighton and their husbands. Nothing sweeter! I can hardly wait to see all 6 of my kids there together. And then as grandkids start going through. Again.... Nothing sweeter!
Another favorite temple of mine is the San Diego, Ca temple. I have not yet had the opportunity to go inside. But one of these days I will. I love it because it has always reminded me of a huge, beautiful, sparkling castle made out of ice or salt. It is just off of the freeway and you can see it for forever.
I LOVE THE TEMPLE!!!
